Annual Dinner Weekend

The 57th annual dinner will be held on Saturday 27 February 2016 at Hotel Novotel Sheffield Centre.

The ticket will be similarly priced to the 2015 dinner and include an arrival glass of prosecco, and three course meal. Every guest will be able to select from two options per course at the time of ordering tickets. The starter will include a soup and a non-soup option (based on feedback this year). The venue room has a private welcome area, and also a bar within the room itself, and they have previously hosted ceilidhs with our expected number of guests. Guests can choose to stay in the hotel itself or one of the many other hotel options near by in the centre of Sheffield.

Important!
We have now moved to online ticket booking. This is a huge improvement: the process is simple and straight forward and allows us to have the money credited immediately to our account which helps with the costs of the weekend.
The booking process is in two parts:

  1. Complete the online booking to secure your tickets and make the payment by 29 January 2016.
  2. Complete the booking form to advise us of menu choices and seating preferences. This form should be sent to Alysia who is co-ordinating the guest list.

  • 7pm for 7:30pm sitting (complementary welcome glass of prosecco from 7pm).
  • Guest speaker: Rod Ismay, author of Bells and Bikes which was released in December 2015. Rod is passionate about Yorkshire, the Tour De France, and Bellringing, and in the book he shares his story of the 2014 Grand Depart and his role in the event.
  • Ceilidh: University Ceilidh Society Band
  • Wellbeck Abbey beer back by popular demand!
  • Tickets: £38 (£25 for students)
